About Loan Star Groundwater Conservation District
A Vision for Montgomery County
Formerly a nine member appointed board, the LSGCD will now be a seven member board elected by Montgomery County Voters in the General Election on November 6, 2018. The seven members will consist of one from each county commissioners precinct; one elected at-large member by county-wide vote; one elected member by City of Conroe voters, and one elected member by voters of The Woodlands Township.
As a concerned citizen and homeowner in Montgomery County, Harry shares the frustrations of most other MoCo homeowners, having seen his water bills more than double over the past several years despite curbing his water usage. With his over 15 years of water utility board experience and with no political or professional ties to the community, Harry is committed to bringing an independent, transparent and focused voice to the LSGCD Board to restore affordable water.
In addition to his water utility board experience, Harry also brings over 30 years of experience and leadership in the Networking and Telecommunications industries, where he has held various executive positions with multinational companies such as Brocade Communications, Foundry Networks, Nortel Networks and Cabletron Systems. Harry’s combined background makes him uniquely qualified to represent the citizens of Montgomery County in the At-Large Position.
From a volunteering perspective, Harry has been a member of the Development Board of the Bush School of Government and Public Service since the board’s inception in 2001.
Harry and his wife Paula have been property owners in Montgomery County since 1998 and full-time residents of Conroe since 2004. They have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. Harry is an involved parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Conroe, where he serves on several ministries including the Knights of Columbus and the Parish Pastoral Council where he is the immediate past Chair.
